• Commercial Estimator (VA2)• Complete approximately 80% of the front-end commercial roofing estimate, leaving final pricing strategy, risk, and contractual decisions to Team Lead • Independently review commercial roofing plans, specifications, details, schedules, addenda, and bid documents to determine the complete roofing scope • Perform accurate takeoffs and quantity calculations for roof areas, perimeters, walls, curbs, penetrations, drains, scuppers, gutters, downspouts, coping, edge metal, expansion joints, sheet metal, and other applicable conditions • Build project-specific conditions and assemblies in Estimating EDGE according to The Roof Co.'s standards • Calculate and verify material quantities, coverage rates, linear footage, waste factors, insulation requirements, and other construction quantities • Input material pricing, labor, equipment, subcontractor costs, and other required pricing into the estimate • Apply strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal roofing, insulation, tapered systems, coverboards, vapor barriers, flashings, drainage, and accessories • Identify system requirements, missing information, plan/spec conflicts, and potential RFIs without making undocumented assumptions • Prepare a detailed scope of work, assumptions, exclusions, allowances, alternates, unit prices, owner-furnished items, and special requirements • Perform thorough quality control and self-review before submitting estimates; accuracy is more important than speed • Work independently while managing multiple deadlines and maintaining a detail-oriented, analytical, organized, accountable, and process-driven approach • Preferred Experience & Qualifications• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) • Should have proven commercial roofing or construction estimating experience either from a corporate set-up or as a VA **IMPORTANT • Must be able to read and interpret commercial construction plans, specifications, details, elevations, and roofing assemblies independently **IMPORTANT • Should have experience in Estimating Edge or in any similar estimating platforms/tools Preferred Traits & Personality  • • Personality: • Organized • Proactive • Self-Starter / Independent • Detail-Oriented • Outgoing / Personable • Strong Communicator • Adaptable / Flexible • Team-Oriented • Collaboration Hours• Monday to Friday • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Central Time • Compensation Range• $5/hr. and up • Communication Tools• Work Email • MS Teams • Slack • Target Start Date• ASAP • Final Interview Schedule• To be coordinated by the Fulfillment & Admin Team • Zoom Recording Link• The Roof Co. - Onboarding
